A husband and wife lost their lives in a road accident in Bairasia police station area on Saturday morning, while their seven-year-old granddaughter, who was riding a motorcycle with them, was injured. This accident happened when the couple was going to Pipliya Hasanabad for treatment. Meanwhile, at the turn, a speeding bus full of passengers coming from behind hit his motorcycle. The collision was so severe that the woman got hit by the bus wheel, while her husband fell away on the road due to the collision and he also died on the spot due to serious injuries. After the accident, the bus driver fled from the spot. The police have seized the bus.
According to the police, Saim Khan, 55, a resident of Gondipura village, was a farmer. His wife Kallo B, aged 45, was ill for some time. On Saturday morning, Saim Khan was taking his wife to Bairasia on a motorcycle for treatment. His seven-year-old granddaughter Zikra was also travelling with him. At around 10 am, when he was turning towards the village near Pipliya Hasanabad on the Bairasia-Narsinghgarh road, a passenger bus of National Bus Travels coming from behind hit his motorcycle. As soon as the collision took place, the girl fell far away on the roadside and got injured, while the couple got hit by the bus. The bus wheel passed over Kallo B's head, killing him on the spot. Meanwhile, Saim Khan fell far away on the road and died on the spot due to serious injuries to his head and other parts of the body. After the accident, the bus driver fled leaving the vehicle at the spot. On receiving information about the accident, Bairasia police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Along with this, the injured girl was taken for treatment. Along with seizing the bus, the police have registered a case against the driver and started investigation.
