@apnaberasia :- The closing ceremony of the MP Sports Festival organised at PM Shri Government Sarojini Naidu Girls Higher Secondary School, Bairasia, was held in a dignified atmosphere on Wednesday. This sports festival started from 21 September 2025, in which hundreds of players from the region participated enthusiastically in various sports competitions. Bhopal Lok Sabha MP Alok Sharma was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, while Bairasia MLA Vishnu Khatri presided over the function. Bhopal District Rural BJP President Tirath Singh Meena was present as a special guest. Senior BJP leaders Govindram Gurjar, Parvat Singh Patel, Gopal Singh Meena, Kedar Singh Mandloi, District Panchayat President representative Kuber Singh Gurjar, Councilor Kamlesh Kushwaha, along with many public representatives, Mandal Presidents and eminent citizens were present in the program. In the Kabaddi final match played on the closing occasion, CM Rise Bairasia won the first place by defeating Runah. Players who secured first and second positions in various sports competitions including Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Badminton, and Tug-of-War were honored with shields, medals, and certificates. During his address, MP Alok Sharma said that the objective of the MP Sports Festival is to provide a platform for talented rural athletes. He added that sports are not only a means of physical development but also cultivate discipline, team spirit, and leadership qualities. In the coming times, such events will be organized on an even larger scale." MLA Vishnu Khatri said that the youth of the Berasia region possess immense talent in sports. The government and elected representatives are committed to providing all possible facilities to the players.  At the event, MP Sports Festival Assembly in-charge Raj Thakur and Ms. Neetu Sharma welcomed and felicitated the dignitaries on the stage. The entire program was managed by Raj Thakur and Ms. Neetu Sharma. The school principal, Geeta Joshi, expressed her gratitude to all the guests present. The program was conducted by senior teachers Dinesh Kumar Shukla and Madan Gopal Namdev. The ceremony concluded amidst the enthusiasm and applause of the players and the assembled crowd, which infused the entire region with a spirit of sportsmanship and energy. A large number of students and players were present on this occasion.
